Professional quality precision ground flat stones - new Norton brand aluminum oxide stones, diamond wheel ground on a precision surface grinder.
For removing minor burrs and dings from measuring instruments, freshly scraped and other flat surfaces.  They have no "bite" - only shearing off burrs that extend above the surface without disturbing the overall surface finish or geometry. Top quality - each stone is meticulously checked to assure flatness, squareness and parallelism, as applicable.
1" x 2" x 6" no lip stones are ground flat, square and parallel on 4 faces with a diamond wheel.  Ends unfinished.  Fine/coarse grit.
1" x 2" x 6" stones with lip are ground flat, square and parallel on 4 faces with a diamond wheel.  Each stone has one lip, approx. 0.020 x 0.060 left on a long fine-grit edge (see photos) to reach under edges.  Ends unfinished.  Fine/coarse grit.

and ends unfinished.  Can be used to dress flat machined surfaces like larger precision ground flat stones but are more versatile - the slim tapered shape also fits into tight corners and under edges. Light weight for a more sensitive feel. Sold as a set of 2 stones, 1 medium and 1 fine grit.
